Interpon HT 550 high-temperature powder coating

This coating provides corrosion protection and appearance integrity for high-temperature components (up to 550°C) such as:

• Stoves
• Barbecues
• Exhausts
• Pipes made of Iron, Steel, or Cast Iron Substrates.

Interpon HT 550 provides corrosion protection and appearance integrity for high-temperature components such as exhaust manifolds and mufflers made of aluminised steel substrates. The temperature capability and performance of the Standard High-Temperature Paints are limited by the melting point (660ºC, 1220ºF) of the aluminium coating on the aluminised steel.

The final finish is black or very dark grey with a light textured finish. The Maximum run temperature is 550ºC, so that it will suit most everyday road cars. This will be a cheaper alternative to Cerakote ceramic finishes, although it will not offer any real thermal reduction. However, to help this along, we can provide our plasma base coat, which helps to reduce radiant heat by around 10%.

Currently available in black and we will introduce a dark grey soon.

This coating is ideal for:

• BBQ.
• Stove Fittings.
• Exhausts & manifolds.
• Or any other application that won’t exceed 550d centigrade.

It may not be suitable for high-performance vehicles.

Prep Work;

For the best adhesion to cast iron, steel, stainless steel items the prep work will involve the following stages.

Pre-Clean.

Blast clean using non-ferrous media.

Phosphate for extra protection

Mask off all gasket mating joints.

Apply coating & oven cure for at least 30 minutes.

The base coating stage is when, if required, we will apply the plasma coat before the final coating.

Introductory offers will be held up to the end of 2024.
