Colour Matching in Powders & Wet Paints

If you are looking for a colour match that cant be found in a powder coat finish then we may be able to help you from a range of over 6500 colours & various finishes.

MSB can offer a colour match service or a very close match in powder coat where possible, this is done in two ways, our first port of call will be to search our powder coat database and our suppliers.

Purchasing small quantities of special or non-stock held powders will carry extra costs that will be charged on the customer.

We will need to know the following information and if possible a sample, not a photo as this can be misleading. The manufacturer’s paint code, make. model year.

An example such as Honda CR125/250 Tahitian red as this swatch below. Should you need a deeper gloss or indeed a mat finish this can be achieved by applying various lacquer coats. Looking for a metallic finish, it’s simply done by applying a clear coat metallic finish with several variations. See our swatch colours.

No Colour match in a powder!

Should there be a no match found in a powder coat finish that’s fairly easy too by offering a water base paint colour.

The procedure is to lay down a powder coat primer base coat, apply a *water base colour coat* and finish with a clear powder coat lacquer. A perfect solution when you want that colour with the added toughness of powder coating.

There will be extra costs charged on to the customer in the purchasing of materials and a deposit will be required before ordering special or non-stock held colours.

*Please note, there may be some colours not available in a water base*
